- It covers the Shimizu we love most — Miho no Matsubara, Kashi-no-Ichi 'the kitchen of Shimizu', and the Hinode waterfront streets.
- Private for up to 15, so it suits families and roll-call groups.
- Nothing far away: no long drives, no Fuji-foothills gamble.
First-time visitors and families on a 7-hour-plus call who care more about food and people than distance.
It is guide-only: water bus or taxi fares, entrance fees, your lunch and the guide's own transport are paid on the day. Much of this route you can do yourself with our free plans — the guide is what you are paying for.
What the day is
The guide meets you outside the Lawson at JR Shimizu Station’s West Exit (about 5 minutes by taxi from the pier, or the free port shuttle when it runs). From there the day takes in S-Pulse Dream Plaza, crosses to Miho no Matsubara — the World Heritage pine grove with the classic view of Fuji over the bay — then comes back for the Kashi-no-Ichi fish market, where the guide helps you choose between the tuna bowls and the stalls, and finishes on foot through the Hinode waterfront streets.
Why a local would pick this one
This is the Shimizu that people who live here would show a friend. You could do the route yourself — our plans show how — but a good guide turns the market from a queue into a conversation. Thirty reviews at 4.9★ say this one does.
