A reconstructed Yayoi-period (c. 1st century) rice-farming village with thatched pit dwellings, raised storehouses and paddies — one of Japan’s most important early archaeological sites. The museum is compact and hands-on, and it works as a rainy-day alternative once you’re in Shizuoka City.
